2:52nd Aviation Regiment

The 2nd Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment (2-52 AVN), is a distinguished unit of the United States Army, primarily tasked with providing aviation support and air assault capabilities. Activated during the post-Vietnam era, 2-52nd Aviation has served in a variety of roles, including combat operations, transport missions, and humanitarian assistance. The battalion has deployed in support of major operations such as Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, where it provided critical air mobility, medical evacuation, and logistical support. Stationed at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, in recent years, 2-52nd Aviation Regiment continues to play a vital role in the defense posture of the Korean Peninsula as part of the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade.
