The 244th Aviation Company (244th AVN Co) was a United States Army aviation unit that served under the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) command. Activated during the Vietnam War era, the 244th AVN Co provided critical aerial support, including troop transport, resupply missions, and reconnaissance operations in Southeast Asia. The unit operated a variety of rotary-wing aircraft, most notably the UH-1 "Huey" helicopters, and played a vital role in supporting ground operations. After its Vietnam service, the 244th Aviation Company continued to serve in the USARPAC area, contributing to training exercises and regional stability until its eventual deactivation.
