2:32 infantry

The 2nd Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment (2/32 Infantry), known as the "Proud Americans," was originally constituted in 1916 and has a distinguished combat record. It served with valor in World War II, participating in campaigns in the Pacific Theater, including the liberation of the Philippines. The battalion later fought in the Korean War, where it earned several unit citations for its actions.
