The 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines (2/25) is a reserve infantry battalion of the United States Marine Corps, headquartered in Garden City, New York. Activated during World War II, 2/25 fought in major Pacific campaigns, including the battles of Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. After the war, the battalion was reactivated as part of the Marine Corps Reserve, and its Marines have since participated in operations including Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom. Today, 2/25 continues to serve as a vital reserve force, providing trained Marines ready to deploy in support of national defense and humanitarian missions.
