The 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment (2/19 INF), is a storied unit in the U.S. Army with origins dating back to 1861. Over its history, the battalion has served with distinction in major conflicts, including the Civil War, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. In its current role as an OSUT (One Station Unit Training) battalion at Fort Moore, Georgia, 2/19 INF is responsible for training new Army Infantry Soldiers through rigorous basic and advanced instruction. The battalion upholds a proud tradition of excellence, forging the next generation of Infantrymen for the U.S. Army.
