The 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB) is a unit of the South Carolina Army National Guard with its headquarters in Charleston, South Carolina. Established in 2008 as part of the Army's modular transformation, the 218th MEB was designed to provide command and control for a variety of support and maneuver elements during both domestic and overseas operations. The brigade has participated in numerous training exercises and deployments, including homeland security missions and support for overseas contingency operations. By integrating engineering, military police, and sustainment capabilities, the 218th MEB enhances the operational flexibility and readiness of the Army National Guard.
