2:124 Infantry

The 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment (2-124 IN) is a unit of the Florida Army National Guard with a distinguished lineage tracing back to the early 20th century. During World War II, it fought as part of the 31st Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater, participating in campaigns in New Guinea, Morotai, and the Philippines. In the Global War on Terror, 2-124 IN deployed to Iraq in 2003–2004, conducting security and stability operations in Baghdad and Fallujah. The battalion continues to serve as a key component of the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, supporting both state and federal missions.
