The 2122nd United States Army Reserve (USAR) unit was activated in the early 1980s as part of the Army Reserve’s nationwide expansion to bolster support and sustainment capabilities. Initially designated as a logistical support detachment, the unit played a vital role in providing transportation and supply services during major training exercises and domestic operations. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, the 2122nd USAR supported overseas deployments, contributing personnel and expertise to operations in the Middle East and the Balkans. Today, the unit continues to serve as a key component in Army Reserve operations, maintaining readiness for both national emergencies and overseas missions.
