2:116th FA

The 2nd Battalion, 116th Field Artillery (2/116th FA) is a unit of the Florida Army National Guard with roots tracing back to its establishment in 1917. Originally formed as part of the 31st Division during World War I, the battalion has since served in multiple conflicts, including World War II, where it provided critical artillery support in the European Theater. Over the years, 2/116th FA has participated in both state and federal missions, responding to natural disasters and supporting overseas operations such as Operation Iraqi Freedom. Today, the battalion remains an integral part of the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, maintaining readiness to support national defense and community needs.
