The 203rd Aviation Company was a U.S. Army aviation unit activated during the Vietnam War. Nicknamed the "Hawkeyes," the company was established in 1966 and primarily operated the Grumman OV-1 Mohawk, a twin-engine observation and surveillance aircraft. The 203rd played a vital role in aerial reconnaissance, intelligence-gathering, and surveillance missions throughout South Vietnam, providing crucial real-time information to ground commanders. After years of distinguished service, the unit was inactivated following the end of U.S. involvement in Vietnam, leaving a legacy of innovation and bravery in aerial reconnaissance operations.
