The 1st Maintenance Battalion is a vital logistics unit within the United States Marine Corps, activated during World War II in 1942. Originally established to provide maintenance and supply support to Marine forces in the Pacific Theater, the battalion played a critical role in sustaining combat operations through the repair and upkeep of vehicles, weapons, and equipment.
