The 1st AG (Adjutant General) Company was traditionally responsible for personnel administration and human resources support within larger military formations, such as divisions or corps. Established to streamline and manage records, awards, promotions, and casualty reporting, the 1st AG Company played a critical role in maintaining combat effectiveness and morale. Throughout its history, the unit deployed alongside major forces in both peace and wartime, providing essential administrative continuity during World War II, the Korean War, and later conflicts. Their dedication ensured that soldiers’ personal and service needs were met, directly contributing to the operational readiness and efficiency of the U.S. Army.
