The 18th Surgical Hospital was a U.S. Army medical unit activated during World War II, providing essential surgical and medical care to wounded soldiers near the front lines. Reactivated during the Vietnam War, the hospital was deployed to Pleiku, South Vietnam, in 1966, where it played a crucial role in supporting combat operations in the Central Highlands.
