The 185th Transportation Battalion was constituted during World War II and activated on 25 May 1943 at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. Throughout its history, the unit has provided critical logistical and transportation support, ensuring the movement of personnel, equipment, and supplies in both peacetime and conflict environments. The 185th has served in various major operations, including campaigns in Europe during WWII and subsequent deployments in support of operations in Southwest Asia.
