1544th Transportation

The 1544th Transportation Company is a unit of the Illinois Army National Guard, headquartered in Paris, Illinois. It was originally organized in the mid-20th century and has provided critical logistical and transportation support for numerous military operations. The unit has deployed overseas in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, where it was responsible for convoy security and the movement of vital supplies.
