The **146th Evacuation Hospital**, California Army National Guard (CA ARNG), was originally constituted in 1943 during World War II. Activated at Camp Barkeley, Texas, the unit deployed to the European Theater, supporting Allied forces by providing critical medical care and evacuation services during major campaigns, including the Rhineland and Central Europe operations. After World War II, the 146th Evacuation Hospital was reorganized several times, eventually becoming part of the California Army National Guard. Throughout its service, the unit was recognized for its professionalism and dedication to saving lives in combat zones.
