The 143rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) is a unit of the United States Army Reserve, headquartered in Delaware. Originally constituted in 1942 as the 143rd Quartermaster Battalion, it has undergone several redesignations and reorganizations, reflecting its evolving logistics and sustainment mission. The battalion has provided critical supply, transportation, and maintenance support in numerous operations, including deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Today, the 143rd CSSB continues to play a vital role in supporting Army operations both at home and abroad, ensuring that combat and support units receive the essential materiel and services needed for mission success.
