The 1st Battalion, 4th Field Artillery Regiment (1/4 FA) traces its lineage back to 1907, when it was first constituted in the Regular Army. Over its long history, the unit has participated in multiple conflicts, including World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War, providing critical fire support to maneuver units. During the Cold War, 1/4 FA served in Europe as part of NATO forces, maintaining readiness against potential threats. In recent years, the battalion has supported operations in the Middle East, continuing its legacy of excellence in artillery fire support.
