The 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne), or 12th SFGA, was a unit of the United States Army Special Forces, primarily part of the Army Reserve. Activated in 1960, the group was tasked with unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, and special reconnaissance missions, mainly focusing on operations in Europe during the Cold War. The unit frequently participated in joint training exercises with allied NATO forces and supported various contingency plans for rapid deployment. The 12th SFGA was officially inactivated in 1995, with its personnel and missions redistributed among other Special Forces groups.
