The 123rd Transportation Company, based in Uijongbu, Korea, was a vital U.S. Army aviation logistics unit specializing in helicopter support and transportation operations. Established during the tense years of the Cold War, the company played a key role in maintaining mobility and rapid response capabilities for American and allied forces along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). The unit was responsible for the movement of troops, equipment, and supplies, often under challenging conditions and in close coordination with other aviation and ground units. Throughout its service in Korea, the 123rd Transportation Company contributed significantly to deterrence efforts and the readiness posture of United States Forces Korea (USFK).
