The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR) is a unit in the U.S. Army that specializes in reconnaissance and security operations. It is known for its distinctive black and gold patch and its motto "Allons," which means "Let's Go" in French. The 11th ACR has a rich history dating back to its activation in 1901 and has served in various conflicts including World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War. Today, the 11th ACR is based at Fort Irwin, California, where it conducts training exercises to prepare for its role as the opposing force in large-scale combat simulations.
