1:16th Cavalry

The 1st Squadron, 16th Cavalry Regiment (1/16th Cavalry) is a historic unit in the United States Army with roots dating back to its activation in 1916. Throughout its history, the squadron has served in various capacities, including reconnaissance and armored cavalry roles. In recent decades, 1/16th Cavalry has been primarily tasked with training and developing Armor and Cavalry leaders at the U.S. Army Armor School at Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning), Georgia.
