The 1st Battalion, 108th Field Artillery Regiment (1/108th FA) traces its origins to 1840, making it one of the oldest artillery units in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. The unit served with distinction in major conflicts, including the Civil War, World War I, and World War II, providing artillery support to infantry operations. During World War I, the 1/108th FA was assigned to the 28th Infantry Division and saw action in notable campaigns such as the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.
