1:104th Infantry

The 1st Battalion, 104th Infantry Regiment (1/104th Infantry) has a distinguished lineage within the United States Army National Guard, tracing its origins to the early 17th century as part of the Massachusetts militia. The unit participated in major conflicts, including the Revolutionary War, Civil War, and both World Wars, notably serving with distinction in France during World War I as part of the 26th "Yankee" Division. In World War II, the battalion again fought in the European Theater, contributing to the liberation of France and advancing into Germany.
