The 103rd Armored Division was established during World War II as part of the United States Army’s rapid expansion to meet global conflict demands. Activated in 1942, the division trained extensively in combined arms tactics before deploying to the European Theater. It participated in several key operations, including the liberation of towns in France and the push into Germany during the final months of the war. After the Allied victory, the division was deactivated in 1946 and has since remained a notable example of American armored warfare excellence.
