HHC 101st Aviation Group

The Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 101st Aviation Group, was established as a key command and control element for aviation operations within the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Activated during the Vietnam War era, the unit played a pivotal role in coordinating helicopter assaults, reconnaissance, and support missions, notably during major campaigns such as Operation Lam Son 719 and the defense of Firebase Ripcord.
