AFEES Kansas City

The Armed Forces Examining and Entrance Station (AFEES) Kansas City served as a pivotal processing center for military recruits from the Midwest during much of the 20th century. Established to support the induction of personnel during World War II, the Korean War, and subsequent conflicts, AFEES Kansas City conducted medical examinations, aptitude testing, and administrative processing for individuals entering the armed forces. The station played a crucial role in ensuring recruits met military standards before being assigned to training units.
