97th Civil Affairs Battalion

The 97th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) is a specialized unit of the United States Army, activated on March 16, 2007, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. As part of the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade, the battalion supports U.S. Special Operations Command with culturally attuned civil-military operations worldwide, particularly focusing on the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
