• Formation and Location: The 90th Missile Wing (90 MW) was activated in 1963 and is based at F.E. Warren Air Force Base near Cheyenne, Wyoming. • First ICBM Wing: It was the first U.S. Air Force unit to operate the Minuteman I Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), marking a new era in strategic deterrence. • Largest Missile Complex: The 90th Missile Wing controls one of the largest missile complexes in the world, with 150 Minuteman III ICBM silos spread across 9,600 square miles. • Historic Base: F.E.
