64th Tactical Fighter Wing

The 64th Tactical Fighter Wing was an active United States Air Force unit, primarily operating during the Cold War era. Activated in 1962, the wing was based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, and was equipped with the Republic F-105 Thunderchief fighter-bombers. Its primary mission involved tactical fighter operations, including training and readiness for rapid deployment in support of U.S. and allied air operations.
