5th Combat Communications Group

The 5th Combat Communications Group (5th CCG), known as the "Mobility Airmen," was activated in 1966 at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. Its primary mission is to provide rapidly deployable communications and air traffic control services in support of U.S. Air Force and joint operations worldwide. Over the decades, the 5th CCG has supported major military operations including Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and humanitarian relief efforts.
