50th Tactical Airlift Squadron

The 50th Tactical Airlift Squadron was activated during World War II, originally constituted as a troop carrier unit. Throughout its service, the squadron provided vital airlift support, transporting personnel, equipment, and supplies to various theaters of operation. During the Cold War and into the Vietnam War era, the 50th played a key role in tactical airlift missions, utilizing aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules.
