484th FMS

The 484th Field Maintenance Squadron (484th FMS) was an integral support unit within the United States Air Force, most notably associated with the 484th Bombardment Wing at Turner Air Force Base, Georgia, during the Cold War era. Established during the 1960s, the 484th FMS provided essential aircraft maintenance, repair, and logistical support for the wing’s fleet of B-52 Stratofortress bombers and KC-135 Stratotankers.
