The 4520th Air Police Squadron (Tactical Air Command) was an Air Force security unit active during the Cold War era. Stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, the squadron was responsible for providing law enforcement, security, and base defense, particularly in support of the USAF Weapons School and tactical operations. Its personnel ensured the protection of high-value aircraft, sensitive areas, and personnel at a time when Nellis played a pivotal role in advanced air combat training. The 4520th Air Police Squadron's mission and lineage were later absorbed into successor security police units as the Air Force reorganized its base defense structure in the 1970s.
