The 37th Transportation Group was originally constituted in the U.S. Army during World War II, activated on 18 March 1942. It played a crucial role in logistical and transportation operations, supporting Allied movements in the European Theater, including the Normandy Campaign and the push across France and Germany. After World War II, the group was inactivated and reactivated multiple times, serving in various capacities during the Cold War and supporting operations in Southwest Asia. The 37th Transportation Group has earned several campaign streamers and unit commendations for its exemplary service in ensuring the rapid and efficient movement of troops and materiel.
