The 37th Tactical Airlift Squadron (37th TAS) was a unit of the United States Air Force, first activated during World War II as the 37th Troop Carrier Squadron. It played a critical role in airborne operations in the European Theater, including the Normandy invasion and Operation Market Garden. Reactivated during the Cold War, the squadron was equipped with C-130 Hercules aircraft and supported a wide range of airlift missions, including tactical troop and cargo transport. The 37th TAS contributed significantly to U.S. and NATO airlift capabilities until its inactivation in the late 20th century.
