The 3550th Air Base Group was a United States Air Force unit activated in the early 1950s at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. It served primarily as the host unit responsible for base operations, support, and maintenance, ensuring the readiness of Moody AFB for its training and operational missions. The group supported various flying training activities, including those conducted by the 3550th Flying Training Wing, which specialized in pilot and interceptor crew training during the Cold War era. The 3550th Air Base Group was eventually inactivated as part of organizational restructuring and realignment of Air Force training commands in the 1960s.
