314th Transportation Squadron Sewart AFB

The 314th Transportation Squadron was an integral support unit stationed at Sewart Air Force Base, Tennessee, during the Cold War era. Activated as part of the 314th Troop Carrier Wing, the squadron provided vital ground transportation, logistics, and vehicle maintenance for personnel and cargo operations. Its efforts were essential in supporting the wing’s airlift missions, including training and deployments involving C-119 and later C-130 aircraft. The squadron remained active at Sewart AFB until the base's closure and subsequent realignment in the early 1970s.
