The 273rd Air Refueling Squadron is a unit of the United States Air National Guard, originally constituted during the Cold War era to provide aerial refueling capabilities. Initially equipped with KC-135 Stratotankers, the squadron has played a pivotal role in extending the operational reach of both strategic bombers and tactical aircraft. Throughout its history, the 273rd has supported numerous operations, training exercises, and contingency missions, both domestically and abroad. Its contributions have been essential in enabling global mobility and force projection for the U.S. Air Force.
