The 190th Air Refueling Wing (ARW) is a unit of the Kansas Air National Guard, stationed at Forbes Field Air National Guard Base in Topeka, Kansas. Established in 1962 as the 190th Tactical Reconnaissance Group, the unit transitioned to an air refueling mission in 1978, operating the KC-135 Stratotanker. Throughout its history, the 190th ARW has supported numerous operations, including Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom, providing vital aerial refueling capabilities to U.S. and allied aircraft worldwide.
