The 166th Civil Engineer Squadron (166th CES) is a unit of the Delaware Air National Guard, based at New Castle Air National Guard Base in Delaware. Established in the mid-20th century, the squadron has provided essential engineering support for both state and federal missions, including base construction, infrastructure maintenance, and rapid airfield repair. The 166th CES has deployed personnel and resources in support of overseas operations, humanitarian missions, and disaster response efforts both domestically and abroad. Their expertise in construction, emergency management, and environmental stewardship has made them a vital asset to the Air National Guard’s overall mission readiness.
