1608 security police squadron

The 1608th Security Police Squadron was a United States Air Force unit stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Activated in the early 1960s, the squadron was responsible for providing law enforcement, security, and force protection for the base, including safeguarding sensitive nuclear assets and strategic resources.
