The 1604th Air Police Squadron was a United States Air Force unit activated in the early 1950s at L.G. Hanscom Field, Massachusetts. Tasked with providing law enforcement, security, and base defense, the squadron protected critical Air Force assets and personnel during the heightened tensions of the Cold War. The unit played a key role in maintaining order and readiness at Hanscom, supporting both operational missions and the safety of the installation. The 1604th Air Police Squadron was eventually inactivated as part of broader Air Force security force reorganizations in the late 1950s, with its duties absorbed by successor units.
