The **14th Military Airlift Squadron** has its origins in World War II, originally constituted as the 14th Transport Squadron in 1940. The unit played a vital role in air transport operations, ferrying troops and supplies across the Pacific and European Theaters. Reactivated during the Cold War, it became part of the Military Airlift Command, operating large cargo aircraft such as the C-141 Starlifter.
