1001st ABW

The **1001st Air Base Wing (ABW)** was a support unit of the United States Air Force, first activated in 1977. Its primary mission was to provide base operating support at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., serving various Air Force and Department of Defense organizations in the National Capital Region.
