I was one of the first females to go from the WAC’s into the regular army. I entered the WAC 22 September 1975. All of my paperwork had the initials WAC behind my initials. On 8 October the initials changed to RA. I, and the other females who were going into the military police school were part of an experiment that the armed forces conducted with members from all the other forces. In my class there were of course, army, but there were marines, Air Force, and Navy. They were doing an experiment to see who jumped first. I plan on writing a book about my experience.
