Maureen Fermoyle
October 1973 arrived at Ft. McClellan for basic training. After basic, fr December 1973 to April 1974, stationed at Ft. Gordon, Georgia to attend for training as an Avionics Mechanic, 35k20.. Following graduation my permanent party station was Ft. Knox, KY.. I was assigned to an avionics shop. Worked on any communication equipment on aircraft. From fixed wing, to helicopters. Really enjoyed the job. In addition, for fun I played on the women’s softball & basketball teams representing Ft. Knox. We traveled to numerous other bases to play. Was a blast!
