James Williams
I volunteered for the US Army and took basic in the winter and spring of 1965, First AIT was the summer of 1965, then to advanced training at the Sandia Base in Albuquerque, NM fall and winter of 1965-66. After completing all of my AIT, I was stationed at the 137th Ordnance Company in Okinawa in 1966-67. I came back to the United States and served at the Artillery Board at Fort Sill, Oklahoma the fall of 1967 and exited active duty iSmarttn February of 1968. I had TDY in many places. I came back to Tennessee in 1968 and have kept contact with some of those who served with me. Lost a lot of friends in the TET offensive. Most of us are dead by now with my MOS's. I am a strong patriot who would sever again in heartbeat.
