Eric Sims
I am a proud son of a Vietnam Veteran, my dad Don W. Sims (Sr.) served in the United States Army from June 30, 1969, to June 29, 1971. His Vietnam service was from December 19, 1969, to November 17, 1970, with the 128th Assault Helicopter Company "Tomahawks", he was a crew chief with the company's gunship platoon "Gunslingers", at Phu Loi, South Vietnam. After returning home from Vietnam, dad was stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. with C Company, 50th Singal Battalion, XVIII Airborne Corps. When dad joined the Army, his primary MOS was 52B20 Power Generator Operator/Mechanic, when he assigned to the 128th he was assigned a secondary MOS of 67N20 Utility Helicopter Repairman.
