Earl Shanahan
1960-1962 assigned to the Mar Det right out of Boot Camp. Marine Capt Harry L. Mills was the Detachment commander. Was honorably discharged in 1964. Reinlisted in Dec 1967 and spent all of 1968 with F-2-11 1st Marine Division in Viet Nam. After Viet Nam I changed my MOS to Corrections and eventually retired as a 1stSgt in 1985. After USMC retirement I was employed as a GS with the USAF for 26 years and retired again . ( Double Dipper) Now living in North Las Vegas NV. Completed 10,230 hours as a volunteer Driver for the local DAV.
